Teambo Tech GmbH ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Flatmatch App mobile application (the "Service") and the http://www.flat-match.ch/ website.

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our website or our Service.

We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

1. THE MOBILE APP

1.1 Data and how we use it

We collect two main types of user data. We use and process our user’s Personal Information in order enable our core services and to ensure the best possible user experience.

1.1.1 Actively entered data

  • User profile. In order to create a Flatmatch account, information such as first name, last name, email address, sex, occupation, age and more are necessary as identifiable information. We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.

  • Search profile. Additional information is necessary in order to enable certain functionalities of our service (e.g. mate search & flat search). This entails information such as search area, rent price, cohabitation style, address of the flat and many more. Together with your User profile data, the entered data is processed by an algorithm in order to connect you with users via the Matching system. Within the application, this information is made public so that matching users can obtain more information about their matches (e.g. Details screens). Furthermore, the data may also be processed in order to get a better understanding of our customers’ characteristics for marketing purposes.

1.1.2 Automatically collected data

  • Log data. When you access the Flatmatch App on a mobile device, we collect log data, which may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use and other statistics in order to ensure a seamless user experience on your device.

  • User behaviour. Through the tool Application Insights (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/application-insights/) we monitor our user’s behavior within the Flatmatch App such as last login, application crashes and other statistical data in order to optimize our service, increase stability and accelerate potential bug-fixing. In addition, we may use other third party services that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our service's functionality. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

  • Communication. Chat messages between users are stored for purposes of investigation and prevention of fraud, spam, abuse and other detrimental behavior.

1.2 Data use by third parties

1.2.1 Service providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used such as described under 1.1.2. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

1.2.2 Partners & third-party applications

With your consent, we can share your Personal information with others, if e.g. you give third-party applications access to your Flatmatch account. In such a case, we will ask for explicit authorization on the user’s behalf at that given time before any transfer is conducted.

1.2.3 Compliance with Laws

We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.

1.3 Data storage and deletion

In principle, we store our users’ Personal information for as long as necessary for fulfilment of contract between us and customers as well as for legal obligations. In order to delete and or withdraw your Personal data from our service, please contact us under support@flat-match.ch. For reasons of stability and security regarding malicious attacks against our Service, it is possible that in the case of deletion of your Personal information, some data may remain in our backup system for some time.

1.4 Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, however no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Transfer of all customer data within our service, including communication, is encrypted with transport layer security (TLS). We store our data within Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing service (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/), where it is secured by transparent data encryption (TDE).

1.5 International transfer

Your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. If you are located outside Switzerland and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including Personal Information, to Switzerland and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

1.6 Links To Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

1.7 Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a children under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

2. THE WEBSITE

2.1 log data

We may collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

2.2 Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer's hard drive. We use "cookies" to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

2.3 DoubleClick cookies

Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our Service. Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our Service or other web sites on the Internet. You may opt out of the use of the DoubleClick Cookie for interest-based advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings web page: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/

3. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
